Cipher Case; Judicial remand of Chairman PTI extended till September 13 | Politics News

Judge Abul Hasanat Zul Qarnain of the Special Court established under the Secret Act heard the case. According to sources, Chairman PTI was brought before the court for attendance. The court extended judicial remand for 14 days after taking attendance. Notices were issued on PTI chairman's bail application after his arrest. The court issued notices to the parties and called for arguments on September 2. It should be noted that Chairman PTI is on judicial remand in the cipher case and FIA had sought physical remand of Chairman PTI on August 16. However, the court did not accept the request and sent him to jail on judicial remand. According to FI, physical custody or remand cannot be sought in the same case after being judicial, now the challan will be submitted and the trial will go on, but the accused can also apply for bail. Due to security concerns, the Ministry of Law had issued a notification to hold the hearing in Attock Jail.
