Lastly, Manju, costume designer Sameera Saneesh and director Mahesh Vettiyar determined to interrupt the costume stereotypes of feminine politicians.

“After watching the teasers and stills of ‘Vellaripattanam’, many requested me why my character was not sporting a sari, regardless of being a politician. I actually like sporting a sari. The truth is, I received a lot of compliments once I just lately posted an image sporting a sari. Nonetheless, Sunanda is completely different from different politicians. So, her perspective in direction of dressing too needs to be completely different. Sameera has designed the costume conserving this in thoughts,” says Manju.

Sunanda who doesn’t at all times put on a sari prefers sporting snug t-shirts and frocks at house as an alternative of nighties. She needs to face out in all places. So, the stylist and costume designer tried to create a novel fashion assertion for Sunanda within the film.
